James
James is an enthusiastic and well-qualified Geography teacher, with experience across the State, Prep and Independent Senior sectors. This has allowed him to experiment with different pedagogical techniques to bring the best out of his students, regardless of their ability.
His most recent role as Head of Geography at Wetherby Preparatory School in Marylebone, London has given him a great insight into what it takes to meet the requirements of top British public schools, including Eton, Westminster, St Paul’s, Winchester and Harrow. He was also responsible for the Scholarship set at Wetherby, building up a wealth of knowledge when it comes to gaining top honours at these schools.
Outside of the classroom, James is an experienced form tutor, who finds great value in getting to know his students from a different perspective, helping to build valuable relationships with them along the way.
Before becoming a teacher, James was a scuba diving instructor and has travelled the world – above and below water – giving him a unique insight into how the planet functions and changes. It was this that inspired him to be a Geography teacher and he is incredibly passionate about sharing this with the next generation.
